I picked up a 6' 135 for 50 bucks, to use as a grow out tank. Not a beauty but functional
and glass is not all scratched up. It is an older tank with 5/8" glass on front and back, 1/2" on the sides.
I have resealed it and since it was made without bracing on top, in center, I was wondering if I should
put some bracing in it.

Opions Please.

I don't think you need to but you obviusly have fears about it so to sleep better go ahead and add them. its kinda hard to overbrace. ultimatly thats what we have to think about is our peace of mind. if you are unsure it is always better to add the extra support.

Thanks, I like it without the bracing and after I bought it I filled it and left it sit for a couple of days to see if it leaked, it didn't but the silicone looked a little rough, peeling and such, so resealed anyways. Peace of mind there.

A reseal is always a good idea.
