well i have 2 jags that are ready to breed but i may seperate because i dont need 1-2000 babies to raise so the only way i would breed these jags is to sell them at 1 month old probably 1/4-1/2 inch size and sell them 40 for 25 bucks and i would 2 day ship and guarrentee live arrival. would you buy

You could always use the fry for feeders.

or use them as an excuse for a monster tank.

i think that is an outrageous price for jags, you can get them around here for 5 dollars. are they really high quality or something?

did you read it correctly? id be selling 40 jags for 25.00. just a little over 50 cents each at one month old.

not a chance, outragous priceing for a small and extremely common fish-
and i have my own breeding pair, and i've never seen a laying of eggs and collective spawing of over 300-500 eggs's for one spawn.

your price is also not includeing shipping, and 2 day shipping to anywhere is crazy expensive, you'll never get a buyer. all fry will die quickly on there own- unless you aid there growing. large filters, tank mates, and lack of food are culprits.

not trying to make a downer on you, just speaking the honest truth from experience and knowledge.

Its not a question of price, its a question of quantity.

Would you buy 15 ipods for 2500 dollars?

Its cheaper, but who needs that many?

Sell them in groups of 5 and you might get a better chance, and even then with shipping unless they are absolutely breathtaking or F1 or something, it'd be hard to compete with an LFS.

I think I bought 2 jags for a dollar and 12 cents a piece. Turned out to be male and female. That was cheaper than buying a single male guppy and I got a breeding pair.

you'll also want to grow them at least 2-3" before anybody will look at them. for fish this size you may have a chance.

well thats what i was wandering. then its simply not worth my time. it takes to much time and money. food, heater expense on heat bill etc. to raise them to 3 inches to make 25.00 on 40 fish thats why i would try to move a large amount at a small size. but yes they will make the 2 day trip with no problem i use to do it with my jewels. so i will either seperate or throw them in with my cariba. and keep trying to x breed my rosequeen and texas were the money would be. at least i know jags are worthless for raising. ill keep with my x breeding
