Hi everyone! I just wanted to know, is it cheaper/better to build a fish tank or buy one instead? Ive always wanted to try to build one but im not sure if it will turn out the way I want it to be. It costs about 500 bucks to buy a 125 gallon fish tank with everything in it - lights, hood, stand, etc.

If I wanted to build one, can anyone give me a link where I can see how to make a tank? I want at least 150 gallon tank project. Thank you.

Personally not having any experience in tank building,

I think if your new to building tanks the advice i would give would be to start small, build a small tank first experiment, get the hang of it befor you waste money on something bigger which could go wrong if your not sure what you are doing.

but there are member on here who have done some remarkable work you should dig out some of there posts and maybe PM them and ask them for there take on it !

Personally, I dont think it's worth the cost/risk unless you're going 250+ gallons.

building and buying a tank....well for me theyre equal in cost...but if u build a tank/pond urself...ur gonna have a gewd time building it...and your gonna admire your work when its done!
