Hello, I've been in the market for some grow out size peacock bass. My lfs has what they have labeled a Kelberi Tocantins. It's probably about 5 inches and looked real good. They said he is eating everything from flakes to feeders. They want $69 for him. Do you think that's a decent deal. Is he a Kelberi?Peacock Bass.jpg

Cool, I know there are a ton of variables but what would you figure the average growth rate of this guy is over a year. I have (8) 3"-4" Geophagus albios I wouldn't want it to completely outpace.

I have 5 of the same fish ha, If there anything like mine they should be around 12-13'' in a year. Do it! lol

Yeah mine got big quick. This is standard 6X2X2. Come to think about it I got these in January and they were smaller than this one. Good luck!

I went for it. The store is actually a local chain and another store had one that was a bit smaller. It's about 4". I may have overestimated my geos, they're about 2.5 or 3". So far so good though. I'll get some picks when the lights are on. Thanks to Josh for pointing them out to me. He sent me the original pic.
