I've got my 90 gallon mbuna tank decorated nicely with a large pile of interlocking big rocks. I've tried many times to leave them alone and let them get that natural "seasoned" look. Maybe even growing some algae eventually.
But whenever I do my water changes my OCD kicks in and I automatically reach for the toothbrush and begin scrubbing. It just seems to look so much better to me with the rocks clean and showing their colors.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Its your tank, so if this appeals to you.....do it!

I would leave it, algea is good for your tank and the mbuna should keep it under control.

I personally prefer to see a little algae and coepods scurrying across the glass but that's my choice.
