OK... I've been feeding my tank those little cocktail shrimp for years now. I was wondering if they would be better off with raw. Any thoughts?

The tank consists of Discus, Gouramis, Clown Knives, an Angel, and a large Koi.

Raw probably would be better for them. When any food is cooked, some of the nutritents are cooked out of them.

Raw is usually cheaper, and our fish like the raw "easy-peel" that you can get at either Wal-mart or Wegmans, 40-60 count. I tried to purchase the smaller shrimp from Giant, and they wouldn't touch it... BTW, why is there a koi in there, aren't they coldwater?

Raw. I get a box of bait shrimp from the frozen aisle at the grocery store. Just tear off the heads, peel, break up to appropriate size, and feed. And it's only like $2.50 for a box of, well not sure how many, but there's quite a bit there. My turds love it.

Thanks for the info folks. The Koi in there is fat and happy like the rest of them. All get along and look very healthy.
