Walked in my room, one of my leather corals seems to have torn.

If i clip it will it just grow fine like a prop?

it'll split on it's own in time.. i'd leave it

no need to cut it just is an asexual form of propagation called budding it will separate on it's own.

Yeah, that's what i thought. Just wanted to make sure it didn't just get damaged by someone.

Problem is were going to Minnesota tomorrow for a week, and i'm all out of glue to place the old coral.

Just a wee little guy in his place now, real cute thing : 3

no harm in checking beautiful Octocoral though glad to see it is healthy enough to do some budding for you now you have 2 for the cost of 1 :headbang2 . He will be attached when they split that is why the are still together like that when the bud attaches they will fully split for you no glue required lol.

hmm, well the larger bit of coral fell off. Both seem to be healthy and in good condition as far as I can tell. Will that coral be safe on the bottom of the tank unattached for a week? Oh the fallen coral is on a small rock.

It will be fine usually when any coral that does budding the bud is alway's lower then the parent colony and usually below where it was naturally. It should be fine for a week.
