Ok well, I have had my Temz PB for about a week now, but it isnt eating. I have tried feeding raw shrimp, pellets and flakes. Now I am thinking I will have to try feeding live, but I have 3 preds in that tank now, a silver dat, spotted climbing perch and the Temz.

I just dont want to get the Dat and Ctenopoma stuck on live food only, any suggestions? should I just wait a little longer for the Temz to take the shrimp?

i had my pbass now for about a month and all they will eat is either live feeders or frozen bloodworms. i have tried everything from shrimp to smelt to pellets and sinking flakes, they wont mess with anything else but feeders and frozen bloodworms. i have even tried starving them for a day or two and they still wont eat that stuff

Do the PBass feeding trick. Feed live one at a time. My PBass are so quick they can tell it is a fish and snatch it before any other fish is aware that I dropped a feeder in. Get them used to this type of feeding for a couple days. Then start alternating feeders and pellets, shrimp, or whatever.

What I did was just starve then for about 3-4 days. Two of them didn't take to the food but I soaked the shrimp in garlic and water for a day. When I fed the next day, they took it in and held it.

should I try the garlic and water before feeding live? I have fresh garlic in my fridge atm which is why I ask...

this trick has been known to work for other preds.... the garlic is a won't eat trick that I like for any fish...

thanks for that knowledgeable insight...
