Okay here's the background.. I lost a betta about a week ago to what is now suspected to be an internal parasite infection.

I have a second sick betta as of a few days ago. At first I thought he was just constipated, but when I looked closer I noticed pine coning around his abdomen/gill area, but nowhere else on his body. I moved him to a treatment tank and started tetracyline. He had 250mg tuesday night and wednesday night. I also fasted him a couple days and fed him a pea. Today he pooped but it was a small amount and it had white stringy stuff all over it.

My question is.. does this appear to also be a parasite and not internal bacterial or could it still be bacterial?

Should I continue through the other two doses of tetracyline completing the treatment or stop now?

Can I feed a pellet now that he's pooped some or wait to see if he will poop more? I'm afraid it is a parasite and I don't want to have it turn to his organs for lack of pellet food.. I can't get the antiparasite meds until at least tomorrow but if my vet doesn't have prazipro I will have to overnight ship which means maybe not even until early next week :( Which is bad news but I don't know what else to do..

I saw some people suggesting Metronidazole .. how do I know if he needs Metronidazole or Prazipro? His poo looks like it's coated in white cotton and kinda trails off at the end..
