i have a friend just got a 265g tank at a steel $400 it came with 2 24inch clownknifes 1 28inch rtc 1 10inch oscar 2 12inch plecos and 2 18inch pacu he has no idea whats hes doing what is some good advice i could give him ? i told him to get rid of the rtc it had one of the knife fish in his mouth but let it go :nilly:
 
Most will be hard to get rid of esp the rtc clown knife and the pacu. Try ads on here and locally advertising them for free and then check and see which ones your local stores will take in. If you have a problem getting rid of them than that might be why the tank was so cheap. lol

Most public aquariums or zoos even if they have an amazon exhibit already have their share of fish. He's got probably a 10% chance of that working.
 
I'd say get rid of the rtc and pacus, and then get some other monsters ... an aro ... dats ... some dithers like tinfoils ... BIG clown loaches ... a ray or 3 ... maybe a few peacock bass ... :D

I agree. They get offers for those fish all the time. Lots of stores sell them, and lots get to big for home aquaria.
 
Agree with pretty much everything that has been said. No chance a zoo or aquarium will take it though
