got a spotted gar 12-14" in my 150 with an 17" silver aro and 3 7" pbass and the gar hasnt been eating for weeks due to stress i believe, he used to eat like a dope fiend for crack lol. i have a 75g that has one 3" FHxBP and nothing else. should i move the gar to the 75 till i figure out his permanent home?

I dont know. Im just trying to get my post count up, lol jkjk, I would truy to put him in that tank or another tank to get him to eat something my friend.

he should be fine in the 150gal actually, do you notice any bullying?

i put him in the 75 for a week and still no eating, and he seemed to be sulking in the 75 so back in the 150 he went, seems happier but still not eating to my knowledge and a bit thinner than when he used to eat. seems healthy otherwise. ive read threads about fish going on a hunger strike and i think thats whats going on. guess i just gotta wait it out:(

check the water parimeters..fish won't eat if ammonia/nitrates levels are high.

i keep my tanks at 0,0, under 50. no more aggresion than what would be expected out of a tankfull of preds, and even then they all get along surprisingly well.

so how's the gar doing now? still bad?

well i havent seen him eat for over a month but his colors are good and he acts normal, and hes not skinny but not fat either. either hes sneaking pellets whenever im not looking or ???? only time will tell i guess:nilly:
