i bought a new 15 and a 24'' GLO fixture. the bulbs are T-5 HO 6700k. i know thats good but the bulbs are 2-24 watts. i want to grow red lud, bacopa, dwarf sag, blyza, christmas moss( i basically want a jungle:grinno:). the tank will have DIY yeast CO2 going threw the canister filter. i will also be dosing seachem flourish. my question is will there be to much light in the tank. will i have an algea farm. i plan to add olive nerite snails to the tank as well as algea shrimp.

oh ya. i will also be adding a clown pleco and a pair of otto's for any algea as well

That sure is a lot of light on that tank. I have 2x24wt Glo fixture myself, on my 27 gal (30Lx18Wx12H) and I have found that it will grow about anything I want.

Keep up with your CO2 changing and ferts, and it should be manageable. Personally, I've not had good luck with nerite snails. They never did much for the algae in my tank. I dunno what the issue was. You may have different results though.

it would be over 3 watts per gallon. not bad i quess. we'll see what happens

Check out the sticky about the end of WPG. HO T5 fixtures do not apply to the wpg rule at all. These fixtures are able to grow insane amounts of plants. I recently upgraded from 715W of CF lighting to 312W of Hagen HO T5 Glo fixtures, and have had plant growth nearly triple.
