hey guys i have always been a extremly firm believer in overkilling the filtration and was just wondering if anone had any issue's on this? I've currently got 2 70-gal aqua clear filters on a 29gal tank and i also have a eheim pro 2 on a 55 gal tank.

I have never had any problem with having too much filtration. I never had that much filter power on a small tank though... But generaly with filters, bigger is better, unless you have filter feeders... then maybe not so much.

I try for 4 turnovers per hour but will settle for twice an hour on a lightly stocked tank.

Kind of funny, someone couple of days ago said that its never too much filtration until your fish are literally stuck to the glass because of the water flow... I managed to achieve that. :p

LOL.. reminds me of my hospital tank ..10 gallon tank ( Thanks M/L) with the largest
AC 500 as filtration. It manages to push the datnoid away when it crosses the tank.

now thats alot of filtration on a 10g.....some people on this site dont even have that good filtration on a 55g....lol

You know you might have to much filtration when...,
the intake sucks the scales off your tinfoils.
the acrylic sides of your tank are deforming inwards.
your barebottom tank did not start out that way.
Your fish have to carry around large rocks to be able to feed on the bottom.
the outflow jet makes a sonic boom.
your filter is larger than your tank.
etc. :D
