i dont think it will kill everything. my pikes have been very peaceful with other SA cichlids and all are quite a bit smaller. altho it is hit or miss depending on the pikes personality. i think its worth trying. pikes rock
They won't kill eveything, their aggro is usually geared at conspecific aggro. All mine do
great with Vieja/Paratheraps and Parachromis species and SDs.

ive heard that theyre on the higher end of the aggression scale.
plus im not keeping it with cichlids,other than the pbass.

X1 can be buttheads, Mine tended to hoard all the food when possible but didn't abuse the others. If you are going to do an X1 try to do so with a female much better coloration.
they should do fine with other non-aggresive fish. what other SA fish r u thinking about? for the msot part as long as they cant fit in the pikes mouth and arent to slow they should be fine

The pike characin might not work, if it resembles a pike it will most likely receive some undo pike aggression. I'd stick with high bodied fish convicts, silver dollars, veja. Torpedo shaped fish ususally bring out the worst in pikes.
