to plywood or not

I'm looking for advice on past experiences with plywood tanks, glass or acrylic front, fiber glass seals orsilicone. I'm good with carpentry but just never tried a tank. Love to make it 500 gallons.

Just watch a bunch of videos and read the stickies and decide which way you want to go. I've sealed plywood tanks with solvent based epoxy paint, polyester resin and epoxy resin (not to be confused with epoxy paint). I've sealed plywood tanks with and without fiberglass reinforcement.

No method is perfect. My only advice is to not get caught up in the price per gallon for the different options. Percent solids and the amount of product that needs to be applied has a much greater impact on cost than the price per gallon.
