Alright guys so I am finally getting another tank... and believe me I CAN'T WAIT!!! But while I must wait till it gets here I have a very serious decision to make. I currently have a 40g Reef tank upstairs, and I have a poor stingray in a "ghetto" plywood tank in the garage... The problem is, who gets to move into the new tank? This is where I need some help.

I have enough rock to get the reef started, just need new bulbs, but I also have everything to give my ray a new home. Now... This is a 220 gl tank and i know some will disagree it's not big enough for a cali spot, but it wouldn't be her last home, it would be for at most a year until I could build a true plywood tank for her... just have to figure out where.

You're opinions please?

Easy, keep her in the 220 until you build the plywood tank. Once she's in the plywood tank, turn the 220 in to a reef. =)

I gotta say im infavour of the reef. Rays are awesome, but for just one fish... thats alot of cost/labour, reefs are harder to keep and will cost more but a well built large reef is just awesome :)

+1

make the reef then you can work on building the plywood tank that you want.

I'm leaning towards ray till Plywood tank... but i will quickly find out how I like the look of her in the tank as I am going to keep her in there till a decision is made on what to do.

Reef tank, i love large and nano reef tanks!
