Sooo. I’m back in the flowerhorn game. And got me a new flowerhorn (you can see it in my other posts). Today the d@mn tank spring a leak! Got it emptied and resealed and have to wait three days for the silicone to cure. So in the mean time I had to stick the flowerhorn somewhere and stuck it in a tank with a few blood parrots. Seems like my flowerhorn has paired up with the prettiest female blood parrot that always lays eggs! She usually is paired with the male (infertile?) blood parrot in that tank but the eggs never hatch and the eggs disappear in three days. So I put up a divider and they are getting along amazingly. He’s cleaning and being very nice to her as well as her to him. I’m thinking I should try to breed them. I’ve have not been successful breeding FH x FH as they were always too aggressive to each other. This chance pairing seems to be working beyond what I have ever had with a flowerhorn accepting a partner. Maybe I should give it a shot? What do you guys think? Any tips for success?
