Would a grunting toadfish max size 10 inchs, a scat dinner plate max size and a green spotted puffer max size 6 inches get together fine in a 55 gal. brackish water

The scat would be too big. Some people say a toadfish is fine in a 55, but I would prefer them in something wider than 12" for a 10" fish.

The puffer would be fine, and you may just not have enough water for that large of a bioload.

ok thanks

I think the toadfish could easily swallow the puffer, killing them both.

False. My LFS's toadfish ate a GSP and is still alive today. He thinks that they have like a natural defense to it or something.

It's still a bad combo, regardless of one toadfish surviving. Puffers are poisonous, things that eat them, usually die. Scats are really nippy with bottom dwelling fish like toadfish, as well as puffers.

So that's good for the puffer? Still a BAD combo, as you stated.

Didn't say it was good for the puffer. I think it's just crazy how they can survive it, and it was a Fugu Puffer not a GSD my bad. I have mine with my GSD. Mine doesn't really mess with fish though. Just crawdads and worms, and stuff really.
