it didn't look like he had it all the way. the ref may have stepped in premature, although it did look inevitable once your boy got him flat on his back just before the ref stopped it

but either way, congrats. and I like the transitions, triangle to armbar, he had the arm triangled while the other kid was defending and then he switched to traditional as soon as he got the opening. your kid is on his way to being a really good jits practitioner.

the other kid was defending well, but maybe like you mentioned, the double jointed thing may have helped

According to the rules and protection of these kids.. Once the the arm is extended the ref will call it.

ah, thanks for clarifying. in that case he definitely got the arm extended at the end. the ref did a good job, he was on it
