The female C. micropthalmus playing with the males head as she peeks through the incomplete divider. You can see the male flairing his operculum in response.

By 'incomplete divider' do you mean a divider with spaces large enough for only the Female to fit through?

Thanks. The Pearsei is a real *****. A glass banger like you wouldn't believe. She's 14".

Japes...correct. The divider has six holes cut at different levels. The mistake people make is that they cut one hole. You need multiple escape holes for the smaller fish at different levels.

The thing I love most about your photography Mo, is the way you capture the fins.

When you cut the holes in the divider, do you scatter them everywhere or in neat little rows? I find myself scattering them, usually ending up with 5 holes.
