Just purchased a 10.5mm f2.8 Nikkor fisheye lens. I took it out for a atest drive on some of my tanks. I'm not sure what kind of applications I will be able to use it for in the fishroom. Time will tell I guess. But here's a few of the first shots.
the Blue Labridens and Freddies in the 300 gallon tank. Interesting perspective.
Eeballin one of my favorite fish models...the Zonatum.
Full tank shot. Lots of folks ask for them...I keep saying, it's not that interesting. The fish are the focus...no pun intended.
Besides the speed of the lens f2.8...the other thing I'm really enjoying about the lens is the range of focus. It will literally focus on a subject that's only 1.2" from the front of the lens. Because of all the light I can throw on the tank I can maintain a high aperture and keep a deep depth of field...everything in focus. Maybe more of something like this will be interesting.
