This is F0 Amphilophus hogaboomorum from Rio Cholteca in Honduras. The three are by themselves in a 180 gallon tank. The two on the left is NOT the breeding pair. Them male on the right is...as well as the female on the left. What happens is that when the breeder female swims to the opposite side of the tank the other male will begin "courting" her. This generally winds up with a confrontation.

To give you some perspective, here is the fry tank. The fry in this tank are about a half inch in length. It's one of three tanks full of fry from the pair above. I plan on taking them to the ACA to distribute among hobbyists.

Here's a few close ups.

Cute. To bad the water mark is in the middle of some of those great pictures.
Thank you for sharing.

I put the watermark there intentionally. Otherwise it would be too easy to just crop it out.

Thanks for the kind remarks.

can i ask about the light system u use ?

Sure...three Nikon SB-900 flash units...two on top and one on the bottom of the tank (bounced off of a white diffuser. Shot at an ISO of 100 @f32, 1/250th. I used a Nikkor 105mm VR macro lens.
