I have three of these fish in a 180 gallon tank. One male around 10" and two females. Here's the male.
Here's the odd female...NOT part of the breeding pair. Stress coloration from the male chasing her around the tank. The other female is sitting on eggs at the back of the tank.
Similar situation with the F0 Hogaboomorum. I have three in a 180 gallon tank. The breeding pair has set up shop on one side of the tank...the odd male...the third wheel..is on the left side of the tank. The pair will swim close to his side only when I drop food there. Most often the male will stay with the fry while the female goes for food. Invariably when this happens the odd male will display to the female trying to get her attention.

Here's the "third wheel" trying to sway the female's attention.
