Today In The Fishroom~9/11/11 Parachromis motaguensis "Rio Blanco"

This is a seven inch female RTM from Rio Blanco. The fish is F1 from my F0 pair. Currently the fish is in a 300 gallon grow out tank. I don't see much of her as she remains hidden most of the time. I got one shot s she was coming in for food. Amazing colors on the fish. The variant from the Rio Blanco is know for their extreme reds. She is no disappointment.

Thanks. You'll see that yellow coloration in the female when they pair up. Then she will hold that coloration.

Real nice female. I have a pair of f1's and they are one of my favorite fish I can't wait till they get real big. Real nice!!
