Today in the Fishroom ~ Amphilophus trimaculatus "Trimac" @1/4"

Taking some macro shots with a new photo tank. A. tirmaculatus fry at 1/4 inch. None of the beautiful green/yellow or red, but you can see the tell tale three spots. If you look closely at some of the closeups of the body you can also see the chromatophores starting to tighten up eliminating that translucent fry body in preparation for their adult coloration.

Thanks Dan. I try and document the fish at all sizes. Plus I enjoy the challenge of getting the macro photo.

Impressive, being able to zoom in so far on such a small fish and still retain sharpness is not easy.

I noticed that as well. They just came from a tank and a meal of brine shrimp. Usually that means poop in my clean clear water. LOL
