Good day peeps. I was contacted by another member regarding a question and it reminded me that it's been some time since I've been here. Nice to see that a lot are now keeping the Red Dovii, the fish of a thousand casts that was all buy legend less than a decade ago. My male is fast approaching 18" and hands down favorite in the fishroom. Dozens of spawns and I still have a tank of 4" grow outs I need to address at some point.
I still have my Trimac. Awesome fish. I used to have a dozen but slowly thinned the heard for multiple reasons that revolved around aquatic real estate. Still one of my phot rock stars though.
I also started to shift my focus to smaller cichlids. Added Honduran Red Points.
I did pick up a trio of Heterotilapia buttikoferi. Basically bulldogs with fins. lol
