One of the best things about the pond is at feeding time. Their is always a feeding frenzy with a lot of splashing and aerial acrobatics. I wanted to capture the action both above and below the water. What I did was put my video camera on the bottom of a ten gallon tank...then partially submerged the tank. I got some great shots...including video of a breeding pair of Honduran managuense right next to Amphilophus zaliosum.

Sweet vid.

Great idea, Mo. It came out quite well. Thanks for the insight into your pond, it's certainly an impressive bit of gear.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Here's the second part. In it you can see the breeding Zaliosum within a couple feet of the Managuense. Both fish (males) are about a foot long.

Woah. They're practicly right on top of one another, that's astonishing. Are you witnessing alot of aggression between them, or is the sight barrier broken enough that they don't realize?

What i find really impressive, is the variety of fish kept in this pond. From what i have noticed in the past, you have or do keep everything from Dovii, Umbee etc. through to Gourami's and thing's.
