Well today i got moose's cage ready for the 15' female coming in 6 days. i also had to clean the enclosure out and give him his new water bowl.

first thing i did was take all the wood out and trim all the sharp edges off. I did this with a Worm drive Skil waw at a angle. "With great weight comes great pressure" my version of the spider man phrase.

I then had my son thoroughly rinse the wood off

Now it was time to rinse off the carpet i use as bedding. I went to carpet because it is easy to clean and with a light misting i keep the humidity up easily. Don't worry i melted all the corners so no fraying and he can't get any of the carpet into his mouth. the shavings were just getting eaten by him every feeding, they would stick to the saliva coated rabbits. in this pic the carpet has been rinsed and is hanging to dry.

The next item was to give my little guy his new water bowl, me and the wife were at wal mart and picked this beauty up

I like it when people let their snakes soak :)

Looking really nice. So you are getting another retic what morph is she???

she is just a norm. the guy that has her has had her since she was a baby and just can't afford to house or feed her any more.

thanks oscar, i plan on doing the same for the other 3 retics soon.

Great looking setup! I have similar sets for my big scrubs and Tiger retic. The just love being able to soak at will. I put drains in all my water basins and on stands to aid in cleaning. It helps when a 15 foot snake decides to take a dump in one and you don't have help to lift a putrid container out of walk in cage. Nice work!

I'd love to see a thread with some pics when you get a chance....
