TODAYS CRAPPIES CATCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice crappy, I haven't gone yet its still to cold here. I bet they were delicious! I caught one last spring that was 13 1/4 a real nice one. Hopefully this spring will be better that was the only nice one I caught, it was a bad spring weather wise.

I caught it on some type of tube jig tipped with maggots, it had a neon green head and a white body, its the best color. imo It was a real small jig prob about this size. l-------l and had a small hook with a bunch of maggots. I just wiggled it a little bit with a bobber near the brush and it started moving, the fish didn't pull it under. Most crappie from my experience don't not like the gills.

My crappie rig is only a small jig head with a chat. u-tail on it
Those work well too, try tipping it with something that smells, only problem with the maggots is that the blue gills also take a liking to it. I normally just like winding minnows real slow because blue gills and sunnies don't seem to have the same taste for them as the crappies.

I'M not really into fishing after nothing but bass and pickeral but as i stated with water temps in the low 40's wat choice DO I REALLY HAVE.If bass fishing doesn't take off by this time next week,im going to switch over to carp fishing. It is so easy.

wish i could start. I still have another month. There is still a good 4 inches of ice on the lake behind me.
