Did i git a good deal, have a few concerns but what do you think? It had to be cleand lots of the green stuff but came out like a sparkling diamond.:headbang2

So here are my concerns , the top trim dosnt have cross bars to put the glass top on. And can you buy something to fix that like replacement trim or fram what ever its called. other concern tanks older dont know how old, should i put some new silicon on inside in the thiner areas?

some old tanks like this used to have these U-shaped barsthat fit on top and when you add water they hold tight so the sides don't bow. you might want to find out if this tank had any

wow no brace on a 30" high tank would concern me. Braces are really easy to make if you cant find any. Also, the feeders supply near me sells top frames with braces that are super thick, you could always do that. Nice pickup though

based on the top trim, it never had a brace nor does it need one.

its just an older tank. they only started making tanks with the plastic cross braces in the late 90's or so.

the tank should have very thick glass though. at least 5/8ths inch or thicker. thats the way they made them: thicker glass but no braces.

I would just reseal it and you are good to go.
