Tokay shedding

He hasn't completed shed off everything but getting close to it. Wondering if it's normal for them to stop eating before and during shed?

Is it me or does that shed look to have a little blood on it? Not quite sure if this is normal. Maybe need to kick up the humidity a bit? I know Tokays like it humide.

Not sure about blood, but many reptiles can go off feed when in the shedding process, this will be the same with your tokay. He'll have a vigorous appetite after though.

hmmm I'm not quite sure if it's blood or not, he ate the shed when I woke up this morning. I do mist his enclosure twice a day.

Wow, some real nice red on it.Usually that is orange.

I think that's just dirt on the shed skin. Very intense coloration, quite the looker! Yes, it is normal for reptiles not to eat when they're shedding.

Got it off a guy on Craigslist, it came with a Reptarium setup but got rid of that and now I'm keeping him in a 30-40g hexagon tank.
