I was told my 75 gallon was to small for a retic and a hystrix together so what could i keep as tank mates. I had a 55 long with 2 retics in it for almost 6 yrs tankmates were figure 8 puffer green spotted puffer and a black ghost knife fish with no problems. All i had as filtratiion was 2 biowheel filters 350. i have a 75 gallon with a ehiem 2128 thermofilter and a jebo 250 external canister filter running now on my tank please help,

i dont even know where to begin.....

Your retics are now where? Retics get 14"-18" disk size not including tails, so your 55 was WAY to small for them to be healthy, and not starved.

If you get a TRUE Brazilian hystrix, they get 14" max and have smaller tails then your retics do.... but since brazil has a "ban" they are tough to come by and you are most likely getting a random cheap ray that gets imported in and wholesalers call them hystrix to raise the price...most of them get at least an 18-24" disk
so yes.... your 55 gallon and your 75 gallon are WAY to small

some ppl just like wasteing other ppl`s time.

I understand this the 55 I was refering to was over 6 yrs ago the tank i have now 75 has a retic and a black ghost knife

you said there was a hystrix too O.o

think i answered your ? before your tank is to small even for the retic

DO NOT BUY ANYMORE RAYS

YOUR TANK IS TO SMALL FOR THE RETIC NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU ASK THIS IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE

sell the ray or get a bigger tank
