My wife works at an organic farm here in Michigan and I like to go to the compost piles to dig around for earthworms for my Gold Saum. No pesticides are being used at this farm so I know that I don't have to deal with all that worry. It really quite a nice deal.
I heard from her boss that during the summer they have quite an issue with Tomato worms (or hornworms). Has anybody ever fed these to their fish here before? These are quite the "beefy" catapillar (I believe its a catapillar) which makes me believe that they could possibly be a good source of protien for my GT. Thanx in advance.

Sorry about the pic...Can't figure out how to change the file from bmp.

Hey, I'm not sure if they are poisonous or not. However, I have seen them for sale at reptile shows here in Ohio. Talking to the seller, he said that hornworms are poisonous in the wild. The point he was making was that in captivity, what they eat is controlled and therefore they cannot be poisonous. So that's my anecdotal information,

used those before too; when i had tomatoes myself. Had to chop them up cause the ones i had were big suckers and yeah, with a big horn. Kinda messy but worth it.
