he supposedly doesnt take pellets. any tips on datnoids getting on pellets? ive only had one and it took pellets from the start.
Just give it time. Do you have any other with it? They're pretty smart. Once they see other fish eat it, they'll learn.

came in this afternoon. bag was popped and he was laying on its side. no time to acclimate and just dropped it in. seems to be doing quite well although not eating yet. ill take some pics as soon as i can from my tank, but obviously looks just like the pic. excited to get a dat again finally.
good luck getting him to eat pellets. Had to starve mines for a long time. I had a 3" ngt in a tank with pbass (which were feeding on pellets) I fed him once a week, in the end it took him 6 months to start eating pellets. After he started eating pellets he grew pretty fast.
