She has arranged the whole tank so most of it is open space but this one corner is where she has arranged all the hornwart and the stone ball has to be in just the right spot. "Just the right spot" depends on her mood lol.

The water isnt green it just looks that way with the light filtering thru all the plants.

I solved the appearance of green water by taping black foam board onto the back of the tank. It's inexpensive & somewhat water proof. I got tired of my green water pics. Lol.
I've got alot of fish projects going on right now so I'm not likely to get around to a redo on this tank any time soon. This is temporary housing for her anyway. Working on a much larger build. Eventually tho all my tanks will be uniform with a black back drop.

This is why we should all respect our scaled pets they are smart lol.:)
No doubt there. Toni is my favorite fish right now. She bit my mom yesterday lol. I told my mom "Don't hang your fingers over the side of that tank. That fish will take em off for you". My mom said "don't be stupid its just a fish". Sure enough Toni popped up and grabbed her. Scared the crap out of her. BEST PET EVER!

Does he still steal your scrubby sponge though?

That is definitely one of Toni's traits, it's her way or her way.....
So great that she is settling in so much.
Sounds like she wanted a little taste of human......lol

I know it makes her mad but once a week I will pull apart this little "nest" she makes. 1 it gives her something to do having to rebuild it. 2 it gives the plants that are less exposed to the light a chance to get more.

You know what's funny is Toni will jump at me when I feed her but if Emma feeds her she always takes the food very gently. You can't tell me there's not a calculated difference in that behavior.
