My aquarium some how its pH is very low, i tested it with the API pH kit, it come out with "Yellow" which is 6. My tank is empty with no decoration and gravels.
I tried to put some coral rock in the filter, but i only put like little bag in there, the pH jump to 8.

I have:
-Jardini Arowana
-Blood Parrot
-Redtail Catfish
-Red Severum

umm... I think it is okay. My silver is living in a high ph and is doing well. I think its on how you take care of it

on a side note for any one who finds the thread in the future it only takes a 1/3 of a cup of crushed coral in your filter to raise the ph to 8 in a 55 gallon tank.
I have to run coral filtration on all my tanks because my natural tap water is 4.5

Maybe with the water you are using, everybodies water is different, so different results.

Best to understand your carbonate hardness and how it works if you are adjusting your pH levels.
