I've been growing out the Nic babies with the parents in the 46g. They are over 1.5" now so time to take them to the pet store. The LFS only wants (has room for) ten. The chain stores in town is not allowed to buy them. I put some on Craigslist but no bites. What do I do with the rest. I guess I will have to put them down

.

I could try fish stores in Richmond, but not worth the gas to get $1 a fish from them.

I also have 100 or so HRP growing out. My other fish wont eat them either.

Heres a vid of the chaos. I'm surprised the parents still go easy on them. And yes thereis a bunch of BA Tetras mixed in.

I agree about the time of year.... they dont seem common in my area no lfs carrys them..

Welcome to raising cichlids. :( If I get a batch (which I don't try for very often) unless it's a rare fish I tend to cull 80-90% of the batch right away since I don't have the heart once their bigger. A lot easier to find homes for 20-30 fish vs. a few hundred.

You could try selling them here in the Regional Marketplace Forum - pick up only.

Look at the top right corner of this page it says " Classifieds" click it

Where in VA are you located? There is azalea aquariums I'm sure Keith will buy some from you. Rama Sabbakhan from skoolzoffish.com is located in Richmond as well try him too. Also there is fin and feather in rva they might take some as well.

Thanks all. Richmond is about 1.5 hours away and not worth the gas to get $1 a fish from a pet store.

I belong to Capital Cichlid Association but their meetings are like 3 hours away.

A CCA member is willing to take shippment of all and divvy them up to members who want them. That seems like the best solution.

Thanks all....Bill
