Too many veggies?

Interesting.
So those are better nutritiously? If you were to pick the best veggie to feed would these be it? Or is there something even better?
I feed daily with NLS pellets. How do you know how much to supplement with veggies?

Which Centrals?
Cincelichthys pearsei, and bocourti, are primarily vegetarians.
Some Vieja are at least 50%-75% vegetarian, in nature eating fallen fruit, leaf litter and algae.
Vieja maculacauda make regular forays into brackish areas and straight sea water to eat marine algae.
Most Central Americans are omnivores (not carnivores) so get plenty of vegetation in their diet.
The only true primarily Central American Carnivorous piscivores are Parachromis, Petenia, and Caquetaia, and even they end up getting plenty of vegetation in their diet when they eat entire insects, crustaceans, and fish (guts and all)

These:

Cincelichthys Bocourti
Vieja Synspilla
Amphilaphus Sagittae
Astathero Rostratus
Convict

I'd like to start getting veggies into their diet, just not sure which veggie would give them the most benefit and how much to feed.

The only real primarily meat eater in your group is the sagittae, which feeds on other species fry, and fish eggs.
The con and rostratus are omnivores.
Or the primarily vegetarian species, Vieja, and bocourti.
If your are supplementing the veggies with a high nutrition pellet like AlgaeMax, they should all be fine.

Well they certainly don’t like kale! They won’t even touch. It must be too bitter.
Maybe I’ll give spinach a try.
Any of the veggie pellets that duanes duanes said would be more then good, less mess too. Even my polys and ropes like many of the veggie based foods.

Yup, that romaine sure makes a mess!

I've already decided the next time I buy pellets I'll buy the NLS I've been using along with their Algae Max and mix them together.
That should fill the needs of everyone eh?

But it IS kinda entertaining to watch them tear into the lettuce! LOL
