How many is too many? Is there too many? I currently do 3 15-25% water changes a week. For some reason I enjoy it, and it is good for the fish. Water change everyday or every other day too much? Stress out the fish? Like to hear your opinion on it!

That Attitude Is PERFECT!
Unless the fish is actually being touched/showing stress signs, that is the best way to maintain tank quality

Thanks, love the foam dart quote!

I never knew I was in someone's avatar.

I guess there is the danger of stressing the fish, but as long as you aren't splashing around in the tank during the changes it can't hurt. I'm sure it does wonders for water quality

Well I have a jardini arowana, and an Oscar. And I hate messy water, and the like to mess it up!! But my water is always crystal clear and always tests good.

IMO the more water changes the better. Just don't over clean the filters. Excessive cleaning of your filter media can harm your beneficial bacteria.

You think you do a lot! I do around 25%-30% WC each day to each of my tank! :D
I personally think it is safe (my method), always crystal clear water now!

glad to hear im not the only crazy one! Ive got a system worked out where it goes right out my window and the faucet is right under it so I pump new water right in from the same window. My neighbors think im crazy!

lol I was wondering the same thing today. I enjoy doing the water changes and Im sure the fish appreciate it. Though ive heard on these here forums too many water changes can give you an unreliable Bacteria bed? By not feeding it enough is the only way I can think of.
