I have a 125gal tank that is overstocked(waiting for my indoor pond)it includes 2-TSN's,2 baby RTC's,a Marbled Pim and a Albino ARTC.I do at least a 25% water changes everyday (with more than a few 50% changes)is this too much??Am i hurting my fish??Any help is appreciated.

I think a 25% everyday is awesome, good for you for being able to keep up with it :)

I think as long as you are adding conditioners and your parameters are in order that you will be fine. Someone with more experience will chime in though. As far as i know, some people change up to 90% everyday for fish like discus.

Your fine don't worry about it just match temps well and make sure the water has time to dechlorinate. If they show signs of stress may want to back it off a little bit. I have had to do this before on over stocked tanks.

Keep us posted on their future home sounds sweet!

It actually keeps it more stable to do a bunch of small water changes rather than a few huge ones. A big one is good once in a while to keep nitrate creep away.

I agree ------------alot of huge WC's is risky

As long as they are properly done and the fish are not overly stressed (they will always be stressed a little... I mean, they are like total drama queens/kings!) then waterchanges are only helpful. I used to do 100 percent changes twice daily on my pond (400g) to keep the green water down in the texas sun (and i am not even stocked that full) and the fish never complained, not once  Every morning I would wake up and open the drain, then come out after my shower (the drain is setup to leave 5 inches of water for the fish) and close the drain. We have an autotopoff so that new water is added when the water drops too low so when it is drained, the Auto Top Off constantly added new water so slowly all the water was new. Once I closed the drain it would fill with new water and viola, 100% change. I would do this in the morning and before bed...
