my 4 in datnoid keeps on bullying my 4in Peacock bass after i re introduced them. when the bass trys to go down the datnoid scares him right back to the top! im thinking of increasing the stock any suggestions? maybe a flag tail bala? frontosa? another bass? another datnoid? or a arowana? or should i seperate my bass and dat again but this time put the Pbass in the 20 gal.

I am sure that the problem will persist just due to there age. Your Dat sounds persistant I would not chance it again and I would move them to seperate tanks for sure. DO you have another tank? Perferably a larger tank? What size tank are they in together? I have seen some of your other post but couldn't remember if you had a bigger tank.

Have you tried rearranging the tank decor? That may put them both on equal ground again. I also have a pbass and a dat, both are around 5-6 inches. The dat is slightly smaller but periodically chases the pbass around. Nothing serious, just some good old fashion Alpha male domination. I've heard of dats blinding pbass, so if the pbass is super passive and stressed you may want to seperate a bit longer. The dat will pick up on this "weakness" and hurt/kill the pbass.

Hard to say without seeing exactly how bad the harrassing is... Got video?
