So I just set up my Fluval U2 and U4 filters in my 55 just to test them out and maybe get of BB going for when I do get my 125 here in about a month and it looks great, but I'm concerned about the flow strength. There is definitely a noticeable current in several spots. My question is, is this really a bad thing? Will it stress the fish out or cause them any harm?

Anyways, thanks in advance for responses! Oh and side note, the 55 has a 6" EBJD and paratilopia Bleekeri/polleni. Sad but I'll be rehoming them soon, just want to keep them happy and healthy.

Well you can add some wood or ornament to break the strong flow. These fish can hide beside or underneath. Strong flow is bad for certain fish but for the sake of BB I would try to come up with a solution:)

Ya, my solution if it really is too much flow is put some rock in front of it to break it up abit.

You can adjust the flow and the direction of the return nossle, if you point it upwards you should be ok unless you have top dwelling fish like arowana. You can also turn the flow rate down as you are interested in seeding the filter.

unless they are plastered to the side of the tank, you should be fine. above suggestions are good ones.

Turning the nozzle will work on the U4 but idk about the U2. I have it on its side. I'll post pics or a vid when I get home from work. Thanks all for the ideas
