P predatorkeeper87 Potamotrygon MFK Member Sep 8, 2014 4,293 2,038 164 pennsylvania May 18, 2016 #2 if you are worried, swap it out for a pvc valve and just use a barb/thread fitting to connect the hose to it. but honestly I'd say its fine. you could tie a support to the hose so there isn't as much downward pressure from the weight of the valve.
