Ok, I have a fluval fx5 on the way for my 180g cichlid tank. I picked the tank up, and it was already drilled in two places, in the back wall of the tank, about half way down the glass. The holes have 1 1/2" bulk heads with strainers in them. I am going to hook the fluval up to these. My ? is, will running directly out of these to the fluval be ok, or will that put too much water pressure down on the fluval? Do I need to first run the pipe above the water line, then down to the fluval?
