I just recently purchased a 4" VATF. I have him in another tank as of now until I can sell the fish I have in my other tank. I am going to be putting him in my 75 gallon (yes I know it will be too small for him in the future so don't freak out I've already got it figured out once he out grows it he will be going in my cousins 220g.) anyways I am currently running a marineland C-360 and two emperor 400's so the tank is crystal clear and I always do a 40-50% water change a week. So my real question is how much flow should I be running for him I currently have a hydor 1500gph and a maxijet 1000gph running and was wondering if that is good enough for him at 4" or too much?

Its really REALLY hard to put too much flow in an ATF tank, i wouldnt worry about too much

I have some 4" Vs here in a 20 gallon with a big canister on it and a 1500 gph Korilia.

The 225 here with the Ts in it has well over 10K gph blowing around in there.

Agree 100% with what Alix said......

At what size should I put another powerhead in? Or does it really matter, Will he be fine with as many as I put in?

That should be a good amount of current for now. I'd say he'd be ready to go into the 220 at say 6" rather than worrying about stepping up the current in the 75 until then.

Silver tooth fish = loves current.
