I do around 10 gallons water change on my 180 gallon everytime after I feed my fish. And I usually feed them in the morning and in the evening. But I usually add a water change in the afternoon.
So...basically 3x10 Gallon water changes each day. Is this too much or is it good.
Thanks all!

sounds great to me. especially if those rays you have in your avatar are in there, not like weve seen though, like 90-100% water changes daily.....

wow if i had the time i would do that to your growth rate must be osm

I traded the rays for a black arowana and a silver. :(
Do miss them though.

No way that it is to much. But is it enough, what are your nitrate levels?

I'll go check! I just took out the black sand and left the tank bare bottom. So I'll check for a more accurate measurement ASAP!

do you just have a 10g tank your doing the changes with? itd be better to do 30g changes daily, save your workload, and would have more impact. but 10g after each meal is still nice

Ya I'm sure your fine, just figured out your changing 210g of water weekly.

210 Gallons a week huh! That is crazy! Hope my parents don't kill me for the amount of water I use... JW here but how many gallons of water do you use when taking a shower for around 10 minutes? :)
BTW the nitrate is always at 40 PPM even when the sand is out. I just cleaned all the media of my filters yesterday too.

id still do 30 gallons daily instead of 10 gallons three times a day. plus, when you do 10, 3 times a day, you get less benefits from the change, although still a change. keep on changin....
