im thinking about picking up a super red severum from a LFS. he would be going in a 55g with 2 3.5" severums and a 2.5" datnoid. the red is about 5.5". im runing 2 AC70s and a XP3. ill prolly be upgrading to a 75g this summer

A 75 would be good. If you're asking if it's too much for your filtration, no way! The xp3 alone is rated for 175g. Are you going for the natural "rapids" look? lol

I wouldnt trust an Xp3 on a 175G with the average stocking on this forum.
Sean, a 75G is pretty much just 6" wider. Why not get a 125 long?

i would love to get a 125 but im really cramped on space. my 4ft tank fits pretty much in the only room i have in my apartment. im sorry if my question was a little confusing but would i be overstocked by adding another severum

Well no, I wouldn't either. I have 2 xp3's on my 135, pretty heavily stocked, and they work great. I wouldn't trust just one with my stocking conditions. I was only making the statement on a 55, as he is nowhere near overstocked for his filters. Now as far as overstocked for the tank SIZE, as long as you get the larger tank as stated, when stated, I think you'll be alright. The only problem would be as already said, watch for aggression.
