Hi there. about a month ago I set up 105 gallon tank. I have it stocked with small fish, all under 3 inch.
So far I have
4 Green terrors
2 black belt Cichlids
2 flowerhorns
1 Chocolate cichlid
1 Geophagus Jurapuri (Demonfish)
8 Silver dollars (Ie: cannon fodder!)
2 Jack Dempseys
1 Salvini
1 Psudeocanthicus Leopard Cactus Pleco orange finned. LA0?
Allot I agree, My plan is to choose the best and sell the rest as they grow.
Its all about the mix, tank size can be doubled if needed, I am new to the monster side of fishkeeping but am an experienced fishkeeper with mainly african cichlids and Dwarf cichlids experience aswell as koi and the usual community fish
.
The black belts are growing at an alarming rate, in a month they have doubled!! they are now an inch longer then anything else.
Ive a few questions for the experienced guys here:
what species mentioned above will definatly not be staying, any stand out as unsuitable?
condidering good water quality and a good diet (I feed kens fishfood growth pellets, Azoo Cichlasoma 9 in 1 for small cichlids, and kens sinking pellets With spirulina, also bloodworm, lancefish, mussels) how fast can my GT's grow??
Ive noticed my gterrors (Gold suams) have lost some of the orange on the fins, its a little washed out. when I got them a month ago they were stunning. any ideas?
Thanks guys, Ive been wanting big cichlids for years now, I finally have a big tank and I think I went out and got too many small monsters! Cant wait till they gain some size!
