I've had a bunch of CO2 gear sitting around for two years but never used it. I was planning to run a planted Discus show tank but figure that between keeping discus and dealing with RO water and balancing that pH, the last thing I need to do is add CO2 and mess that up even more. Also, I don't want it to be heavily planted, so it makes more sense to do that one low tech if I want real plants. Maybe later.

But I also kind of want to keep kribs again. I have a 20 long and a 29 high sitting around and could easily plant in either of them.

The 29 is a piece of junk, though. The 20 is in good shape.

But is that too short?

How would I want to light that one? The bulb would be so close to the bottom that I can't imagine that it'd take much, even when it's high-tech.

I had a nice planted 20G long, and currently have a 30G long . . . it actually makes your life a littler easier, in some ways, as your light should easily reach to all depths of the tanks . . .

does limit your choices somewhat, as there are definitely plants that will grow too tall for that set-up . . .
