Too young to sex jag?

So I have 10 juvie jags growing in a 75 now, hoping to get a pair. It seems one of them is growing twice as fast as the others and seems to be the alpha jag. Was wondering if this will be my big male? Sorry for bad pics I'm trying to use a shaky iPhone with very fast juvies.

I would say that you are right. 90% of the time it is like that.

90% of the "what sex?" or "ID this fish" posts are always blurry unfocused pics.

Please, I do not mean this in any bad way or anything against you, it is what it is. 90% are this way.

I do not think pix - rather than described behaviour - were the main issue here.

I believe that is the Alpha male and I believe that he will soon start culling the competition.

It's not always true that the fastest growing fry will be male. I have had female Festae and Dovii out grow males for a while.

LOL, i know im always curious about my fishes too, even though time will only tell...

...so its time to tell us, any update yet? Ima be taking an 11" Jag to trade in a bit for a group of RDs.
